SOUTH BERWICK – Jamey Wright scored five goals Thursday to lead Marshwood to an 11-1 victory against Thornton Academy in a schoolgirl lacrosse game.

The game matched the Nos. 2 and 3 teams in Western Class A, but the Hawks (8-3) took control from the start against the Golden Trojans (8-4).

Lindsey Poirier and Allie Schoff added three goals each for Marshwood.

FREEPORT 14, WELLS 9: Jocelyn Davee poured in five goals to power the Falcons (6-5) past the Warriors (3-8) at Freeport.

Meredith Broderick added three goals, and Elizabeth Martin and Bethanie Knighton had two each for Freeport.

Hailey Smith scored three goals for Wells.

YORK 16, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 7: Courtney Cole scored six goals to pace the Wildcats (8-3) over the Panthers (3-8) at York.

Ruby Cribby added four goals, and Lizzie Wagner finished with three goals and two assists for York.

Jenn Machin, Olivia Madore and Juliana Tardif scored two goals each for NYA.

SOUTH PORTLAND 9, BIDDEFORD 8: Shae O’Brien and Colleen Fleming each finished with two goals and an assist for the Red Riots (6-4), who built a 9-6 lead and held off the Tigers (4-6) at South Portland.

Aimee LaPlante and Abby Letourneau added two goals apiece for South Portland.

Amanda Hicks had three goals for Biddeford.

MORSE 17, CAMDEN HILLS 15: Sadia Crosby and Bronwyn Morissette scored five goals apiece as the Shipbuilders (7-4) edged the Windjammers (5-6) at Bath.

Isabelle Paulus and Ruth Nadeau each scored three goals for Morse, which held an 11-8 halftime lead.

Addie Drinkwater and Alice Flint scored three goals each for Camden Hills.

MESSALONSKEE 15, BRUNSWICK 8: Kristen Kern and Sydney Gagne each scored four goals to lead the Eagles (11-0) over Brunswick (3-8) at Waterville.

Kristy Bernatchez and Allison Fischang added three goals each, and Izzy Skinner made seven saves for Messalonskee.

Eliza Brooks scored four goals for Brunswick.

OCEANSIDE 11, LINCOLN ACADEMY 3: Brooke Dugan had three hits with a triple and two RBI as the Mariners (13-0) downed the Eagles (8-6) at Rockland.

Kennadi Grover also had three hits with a pair of RBI and Molley Mellor drove in a run on three hits.

WELLS 12, YORK 0: Christina LeBlanc was 2 for 4 with a grand slam and five RBI as the Warriors (8-7) shut out the Wildcats (8-7) in six innings at Wells.

LeBlanc’s homer capped a seven-run sixth that ended the game. Nodine Webster tossed a two-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks.

FALMOUTH 7, FREEPORT 0: Amanda Carver finished with nine strikeouts and no walks while throwing a four-hitter as the Yachtsmen (8-6) shut out the Falcons (5-9) at Falmouth.

Falmouth broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning that was sparked by a two-run double by Maddie Inlow, and RBI singles by Elizabeth Walker and Jessica Collins.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 5, BELFAST 2: Taylor Simmons hit a two-run triple and scored on a wild pitch as the Panthers (10-4) scored three times in the eighth inning to edge the Lions (5-8) at Belfast.

MCAULEY 19, DEERING 9: Molly Mack hit a double and a triple to pace a 19-hit offense for the visiting Lions (2-14) against the Rams (0-15) at Portland.

Maddie Wade and Lauren Coulombe also had multiple hits for McAuley, which broke the game open with an 11-run sixth inning.

CONY 4, MT. ARARAT 0: Sonja Morse took a perfect game into the seventh inning and finished with a no-hitter as Cony (13-1) bounced back from its first loss of the season to beat Mt. Ararat (4-9) at Augusta.

OAK HILL 6, WISCASSET 3: The Raiders (11-3) scored five runs in the sixth inning to rally past Wiscasset (3-11) at Wales.

HALL-DALE 21, BOOTHBAY REGION 3: The Bulldogs (9-5) took advantage of seven errors to score 14 runs in the sixth inning and beat the Seahawks (0-14) at Boothbay Harbor.

KVAC: The championship meet at Morse High was rescheduled from Saturday to Monday.
