Memorial Day parades and remembrance ceremonies around southern Maine on Monday:

BATH: Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. Participants will assemble at 10 a.m. in the American Legion Post No. 21 parking lot and continue onto Congress Avenue. A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Soldiers’ Monument. The parade continues to Linden Street and concludes with a memorial service at the Bath Library.

BIDDEFORD AND SACO: Ceremony at Biddeford Veterans Memorial Park at 10 a.m., followed by parade from the corner of Alfred and Pool streets in Biddeford to Main Street in Saco. A wreath will be dropped into the Saco River and a ceremony will be held at Eastman Park in Saco after the parade.

CAPE ELIZABETH: Parade begins at 9 a.m. on Route 77, from the intersection with Fowler and Old Ocean House roads to the War Veterans’ Memorial on Scott Dyer Road. A ceremony follows.

CUMBERLAND: Parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Mabel Wilson School and ends at the Veterans’ Memorial.

DAMARISCOTTA: Parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Lincoln County News on Route 215. Veteran Stanley Wall will be parade marshal.

FALMOUTH: Parade begins at 10 a.m. at the American Legion Post, 65 Depot Road, to Pine Grove Park. A ceremony follows the parade, with performances by the Falmouth middle and high school bands and choruses.

FREEPORT: Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. starting at Freeport High School to town park. Ceremony at 10 a.m. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at the high school.

GORHAM: Parade starts at the corner of Lincoln and South Streets at 11 a.m. and continues to the intersection of Main Street (Route 25) east to Eastern Cemetery, where the public is invited to hear Memorial Day words from the VFW and local leaders.

KENNEBUNK: Parade begins with a ceremony at 1:45 p.m. at the Mousam River bridge and runs to the fire station.

KENNEBUNKPORT: Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. from Temple Street to Dock Square, with a ceremony at noon.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH: Parade begins at 1 p.m., with lineup starting at noon at The Ballpark. Ceremony to follow at Veterans Memorial Park.

PORTLAND: Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. from Longfellow Square to Monument Square.

SANFORD: Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. at the rotary at #1 Pond and continue up Gowen Park Drive and will go north to Springvale this year. If it is raining the ceremony will be held in the Sanford Memorial Gymnasium at 10:00 a.m. 

SCARBOROUGH: Parade begins at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Scarborough High School. Kids road race for children ages 3-12 begins at 9 a.m. in the parking lot, and goes for a half-mile along Route 1 to the Maine Veterans’ Home.

SOUTH PORTLAND: Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. starting at Southern Maine Community College at the end of Broadway to the Veterans Memorial Monument. A wreath-laying ceremony at the public boat landing will be at noon.

WELLS AND OGUNQUIT: Parade begins at Wells High School on Sanford Road at 9 a.m. and then continues to Ocean View Cemetery on Route 1 for a ceremony. The parade will disband and re-form in Ogunquit and step off at 11 a.m., with ceremonies to follow.

WESTBROOK: Ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. at Veterans’ Circle in Woodlawn Cemetery, followed by another ceremony at the Stephen W. Manchester grave site. Parade begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Longfellow Street and William Clarke Drive, ending at Riverbank Park, with ceremonies to follow.
