BOSTON — The Boston Celtics on Monday signed center Vitor Faverani of Brazil and point guard Phil Pressey from Missouri.

Faverani, 25, is a 6-foot-11 center who played in Spain last season, averaging 9.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Pressey, a 5-foot-11 point guard who was a member of the Celtics’ summer league roster, was a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award given to the best point guard in the nation last season, averaging 11.9 points and seven assists per game as a junior.
