AUBURN — A group of girls from a private boarding school in Maryland is in Maine to build furniture under the tutelage of Thos. Moser.

Ten students from St. Timothy’s school in Stevenson, Md., are working this week as apprentices at Thos. Moser in Auburn. They’ll be building dining hall furniture to be used by students this fall.

Last year a different group of students from St. Timothy’s traveled to Maine to build library tables and chairs.

The student program is an offshoot of the Thos. Moser Customer-in-Residence program, which is a woodworking camp for adults who want to build their own furniture.
