PORTLAND — Lobstermen who want to form a union to lobby for them in Augusta and to negotiate prices for their catch are meeting for the first time.
Fishermen who are forming the Maine Lobstering Union are gathering Sunday at the Ramada Inn in Bangor.
Opening remarks will be open to the public, then the meeting will be closed to begin the process of nominating officers and beginning a process for nominating officers.
