More than 50 lobster boats competed in the MS Harborfest Lobster Boat Races on Sunday, racing around Portland Harbor from Portland Yacht Services to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The modified boats can reach speeds of up to 80 mph. The race was one of the highlights of the three-day festival, which included a benefit auction, a regatta and a tugboat muster.

The Stretched Vet, captained by Steve Johnson, finishes in the gasoline class E with a speed of 33 mph. Foolish Pleasure, captained by Galen Alley, won the class with a speed of 54.3 mph.
