CONCORD, N.H. — New Hampshire state police and transportation officials are planning some major traffic pattern changes to cope with the influx of over 100,000 NASCAR race fans.

The race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Louden starts at 2 p.m. Sunday, but officials anticipate the most congestion will occur late afternoon and early evening.

The Exit 14 ramp on I-93 northbound will be closed from 5 to 11 a.m. Sunday. That same exit ramp and the Exit 15-East ramp on the southbound side of I-93 will be closed late afternoon.

Route 106 – leading to and from the track – will have lane changes to accommodate traffic flow.

Intersections along Route 106 may be closed briefly.

Lane changes also will be made on I-93 in the afternoon and evening.
