WATERVILLE – Luke Duncklee caught two touchdown passes from Justin Ciero, Zach Padula had a 98-yard interception return for a score, and Colby routed Williams 31-8 in a NESCAC opener at Harold Alfond Stadium.

Padula’s score came with 11 seconds left in the first half, after Williams, trailing 12-0, had driven to the Colby 7.

The Mules’ defense finished with four interceptions and held the Ephs to 181 yards.

TRINITY 28, BATES 17: Evan Bunker ran for 123 yards and three scores and the Bantams scored two unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter to beat the Bobcats at Lewiston.

Bunker’s 5-yard scoring run with 12:47 left capped an 11-play drive and gave Trinity a 21-17 lead. Henry Foye added a 13-yard TD pass to Chris Ragone with 9:14 left.

Ryan Curit rushed 30 times for 104 yards with two 1-yard TD runs for Bates.

HUSSON 13, ALFRED STATE 0: Kyle McKinnon had 15 carries for 75 yards with a second-quarter, go-ahead touchdown run as the Eagles (1-2) beat the Pioneers (0-3) at Bangor.

Ryan Stroud added a scoring run with 6:21 left.

MIDDLEBURY 27, BOWDOIN 5: McCallum Foote was 36 of 59 passing for 362 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers beat the Polar Bears in a NESCAC opener at Brunswick.

Bowdoin turned the ball over four times. Its scoring came on Griffin Cardew’s tackle for a safety in the first quarter and a 22-yard field goal by Andrew Murowchick early in the second.

Zach Donnarumma rushed for 95 yards for the Polar Bears.

MASS. MARITIME 52, MAINE MARITIME 18: Mike Stanton threw for 357 yards and two touchdowns, Stefan Gustafson rushed for 201 yards and a score, and the Buccaneers beat the Mariners at Castine.

Bradley Reed threw two touchdown passes for Maine Maritime, and Billy Wetherbee ran 34 times for 191 yards.

VILLANOVA 35, STONY BROOK 6: John Robertson had 259 total yards and accounted for two TDs as Villanova (1-2, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) defeated Stony Brook (1-2, 1-1).

Robertson was 9 of 12 for 140 yards and rushed 20 times for 119 yards.

TOWSON 35, NC CENTRAL 17: Terrance West rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns as Towson (4-0) won at North Carolina Central (2-2).

West, who had 31 carries, got help from Darius Victor, who punched in two more rushing touchdowns on just six carries.
