CORINTH — Officials say a 69-year-old Maine man died after his car was struck by a vehicle that ran a stop sign in Corinth.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Christine Hood of Berlin, N.H., failed to stop at a stop sign Saturday night at the intersection of Route 15 and Hudson Hill Road and crashed into a car driven by Keith Trask of Corinth.
Authorities say Trask was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where he was pronounced dead. Two passengers in Hood’s car were treated and released.
Chief Deputy Troy Morton told WABI-TV Hood was visiting the area and was unfamiliar with the stop sign.
