Bob Krajewski and Lynette Moser, the former chef/owners of Lily Bistro in Rockland, plan to move back to Maine and open a community-supported bakery and pizzeria called Community Oven.
They will soon launch a Kickstarter campaign (find a link and more information at http://kck.st/1b9k7k9) to raise money to start the business. They have a space in Rockland picked out that has a wood-fired oven, where Krajewski could bake his homemade sourdough and make the pizza crust.
They also hope to start a series of community “family meals” that would work like community-supported agriculture. The couple hopes to open by spring.
Lily Bistro closed in 2011 and the couple moved back to Boston, after Rockland closed the street in front of their restaurant for two months while it fixed the water system.
Because the new space they found is only available for a limited time, they are asking for help from kickstarter.time.
