PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Jackie Morin of Scarborough scored three times in the final six minutes Wednesday to lead Plymouth State to an 8-6 victory against the University of Southern Maine in a Little East Conference field hockey game.

Nikki Garvey also had a hat trick for Plymouth (6-4, 5-1 LEC), and Peyton Dostie scored three goals for Southern Maine (5-9, 2-4).

Morin put the Panthers up 6-5 at 64:21, then had bookend goals in a three-goal, 41-second flurry starting at 68:01. Kyrstyn Keating scored in between for the Huskies.

LASELL 2, ST. JOSEPH’S 1: Cristina Wilson scored the go-ahead goal with 10:59 remaining and the Lasers (7-5, 2-1 Great North Atlantic) survived four shots from the Monks (8-2, 3-2) in the final 10 minutes at Newton, Mass.

Samantha Smithers started the scoring for Lasell with 21 minutes left but Theresa Hendrix pulled St. Joseph’s even 48 seconds later.

UM-FARMINGTON 2, USM 2: Kelly Burrell scored with 1:38 left in regulation as USM (4-7-1) rallied to tie the Beavers (5-5-2) at Gorham.

Goals by Ava Amador and Kayla Tuttle put Farmington up 2-0 at halftime. Jordan Grant started Southern Maine’s comeback with a goal in the 54th minute.

COLBY 8, HUSSON 1: Abby Hatch had two goals and an assist, Ruthie Hawley and Hallie Hesslein added a goal and an assist apiece, and the Mules (4-4) overmatched the Eagles (5-7-1) at Waterville.

Colby outshot Husson, 42-8.

ST. JOSEPH’S 3, MOUNT IDA 1: Jessica Capozzi put back her own rebound 27:24 into the second half, giving St. Joseph’s (10-2, 5-1 GNAC) a 2-1 lead against the Mustangs (2-9, 1-5) at Newton, Mass.

Capozzi scored the only goal of the first half. Briana Tomaselli tied it with a 20-yarder 21:49 into the second half. Sam Peters scored with 7:37 left.

SMCC 2, CMCC 1: Brittany Carver scored from Zyrah Giustra eight minutes into the second overtime to send the Seawolves (4-4-3, 3-2-1 Yankee Small College) over the Mustangs (1-3-2, 1-3-2) at Auburn.

Carver also assisted on a goal by Michela Desjardins.

COLBY 5, UM-FARMINGTON 0: After two own goals, Charlie Dupee scored six minutes into the second half and the Mules (4-5) went on to beat the Beavers (2-7-1) at Farmington.

Keith Chernin and Jonathan Sommer also scored.

ENDICOTT 3, ST. JOSEPH’S 0: Abdulla Al Khalifa had two goals and an assist to help the Gulls (7-6) beat the Monks (8-4-1) at Beverly, Mass.

Al Khalifa and Ryan D’Amico scored in the first half, and Al Khalifa in the second.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 1, JOHNSON & WALES 1: Ryan Stephens scored in the 39th minute, Aidan McParland stopped 15 shots, and the Nor’easters (5-5-3) tied the Wildcats (9-0-3) at Providence, R.I. Adam Metz tied it for Johnson & Wales.

SMCC 1, CMCC 0: Xavier Trask headed in a pass from Nicholas Oram in the final minute of the first half, and that was enough for the Seawolves (8-4-1, 7-2-1 Yankee Small College) to beat the Mustangs (7-2-1, 7-2-1) at Auburn.

BATES 1, THOMAS 0: Dan Remillard headed in the ball off a free kick by Nick Ford after 14 minutes of the second half as the Bobcats (2-5-2) beat Thomas (5-6-1) at Lewiston.
