PORTLAND – Khalid Suja of Waynflete and Tyler St. Pierre of Gray-New Gloucester traded second-half goals in a 1-1 Western Maine Conference boys’ soccer tie Friday.
Suja scored 10 minutes into the half, putting home the rebound of a Carter Burrowes corner kick. St. Pierre answered five minutes later off a scramble.
Milo Belleau of Waynflete (7-2-1) and Brendan McNally of Gray-New Gloucester (4-6-2) each made five saves.
FREEPORT 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Addison Vosmus, Jack Davenport and Nick Wilson scored for the Falcons (4-6-1) in a win over the Rangers (3-8-1) at Freeport.
Zach Merrill and Ryder Bennell earned assists.
Nick Wilson scored for Traip.
NYA 10, LAKE REGION 0: D.J. Nicholas had three goals and seven others scored for the Panthers (12-0) in a rout of the Lakers (0-12) at Yarmouth.
Jackson Cohen-Smith finished with a goal and seven assists. Wes Bright, Jeremy Thelven, Patrick Mallett, Mitch Rand, Ryan Hemenway and Forrest Chicoine also scored.
SACOPEE VALLEY 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2: Tucker Huppe and Austin Gerchman scored for Fryeburg (3-5-2), while Trey Watson and Jack Reynolds had one goal each for Sacopee Valley (6-2-3) in a tie at Fryeburg.
A.R. GOULD 7, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 0: Chris Thomas had three goals to lead the Bears (4-6) over the Seahawks (0-7) at South Portland.
Kobe James added two goals, and Eric Valariani and Anthony LaPointe also scored.
GARDINER 1, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Alex LaPointe scored an unassisted goal in the first half as the Tigers (4-7-1) beat the Panthers (1-8-3) at Waldoboro.
