The eighth-inning ALCS Game 2 grand slam off the bat of Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz made for great video, but it may not have received as many looks as the video of the angry Boston fan who ripped a home run ball hit by Alex Avila from the hands of another fan and tossed it back onto the field at Fenway Park.

The video quickly went viral Sunday night and the man was quickly ejected from his seat behind the Detroit Tigers bullpen.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Jeff Passan, the man, who was not identified by stadium security, also spent much of the game directing racist remarks at a Detroit fan.

Red Sox fans who stuck around until the end of Sunday’s game saw their frustration turn to elation after Ortiz’s heroics and a ninth-inning RBI single from Jarrod Saltalamacchia. Mr. Ball Thief was no longer in the building.
