LEEDS — Maine police are investigating a single-vehicle early morning crash that killed a 27-year-old man whose license was under suspension.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department says it was called to an accident on Route 106 in Leeds shortly after 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Officials say Charles Damren of Leeds was killed when he was ejected from his car when it went off the road and struck two trees before catching fire.
Officials suspect speed and alcohol to be contributing factors to the crash. They say Damren’s license was suspended.
