Reed Eichner and David Paino joined Martin’s Point as vice presidents.

Eichner was named vice president of information technology. He comes to Martin’s Point from San Antonio, Texas. Most recently, he was vice president and chief information officer at Healthcare Information Management Systems and Society.

Paino was named vice president of Martin’s Point Management System. He has more than 17 years of experience in leadership and consulting. His work also includes a full LEAN implementation in a health care facility.

Attorney Seth Brewster joined Eaton Peabody’s Litigation Practice Group.

Brewster has more than 25 years of experience in business litigation and commercial matters. He was previously a partner in one of Maine’s largest law firms and served for three years on the legislative staff of U.S. Senate Majority Leader George J. Mitchell.

Stacy Johnson was named director of marketing operations at New England Rehabilitation Hospital.

Johnson has more than 20 years of experience in provider and payer-based healthcare. She has 12 years of progressive experience with HealthSouth, the managing partner for NERHP. Most recently, she was the director of marketing operations at HealthSouth Hospital in Pennsylvania.

Michael Atienza joined Magnusson Balfour Commercial & Business Brokers as a sales agent.

Atienza has several years of experience in the sales industry. He previously served as director of business development for a company in southern Maine, where he educated, mentored, and trained associates on the principles of client relationships, strategic management and the value of being expeditious for client respect.

Ellen Tobias was hired as vice president of technical operations at Putney Inc.

Tobias has extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Most recently, she served as vice president of Elanco Animal Health Manufacturing.

Ryan Donovan joined the Maine Red Claws as the team’s athletic trainer.

Donovan comes to the team from Physiotherapy Associates in Peabody, Mass. He most recently served as head athletic trainer at Ipswich High School in Massachusetts.

James Wendler joins SymQuest as a field support engineer.

Wendler brings experience as a technical support representative from Plixer, a company that develops solutions around flow technologies for monitoring applications.

Erica Watson was hired by University College, the distance learning organization of the University of Maine System, as director of the Saco Center.

Previously, Watson was the retention and transfer coordinator at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Cover Maine Now! was honored with the American Lung Association’s Patient Advocacy Award.

The coalition includes more than 90 organizations working together to promote accepting federal funds to expand access to health coverage for more Mainers.

CERTIFICATIONS

Jeffrey Morris, who owns and operates the Pierce Studio in Brunswick, successfully completed the requirements required to keep his Certified Professional Photographer designation.

Morris, of Brunswick, earned this designation after meeting the requirements that measure his technical competence. PPA currently recognizes fewer than 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers.

GENERAL

Lindsey Eaton, a scanning associate at Allen Insurance and Financial, has obtained her license to sell property and casualty insurance in Maine.

Eaton, of Hope, joined the company in February. She plays a key role in Allen’s paperless office system and supports members of the administrative staff and reception in its Camden office.

Stephanie McBride, a voluntary benefits account manager at Allen Insurance and Financial, has obtained her license to sell life and health insurance in Maine.

McBride joined the company in July and worked as a client service representative on matters of health, life and disability insurance.

Eaton and McBride both studied for the state exam through Allen’s in-house education program.

Brenda Fontaine, owner of Fontaine-The Real Estate Leader, recently celebrated her 30th anniversary in the real estate industry.

More than 150 of Fontaine’s clients and colleagues gathered at the Royal Oak Room in Lewiston to celebrate the occasion. In a list of 1,000 real estate agencies in Maine, Fontaine’s agency ranks number 10 in the number of closed units in sales. In 2012, Fontaine had its best year ever with $46.5 million in sales.
