Tom Sarbanis of Portland is the definition of a true-blue, diehard Boston Red Sox fan. His connection to the team came early in life as a kid growing up in Massachusetts.

His first hero was Ted Williams and Sarbanis, 64, witnessed the Boston slugger’s final game in person with his father in the upper deck of the stands at Fenway Park. Williams hit a home run and the whole stadium erupted and Sarbanis was caught as a member of the Red Sox Nation. Since that time, this Red Sox fan has followed every season and can recite the stories and statistics good and bad.

Like all Red Sox fans in Maine and across the nation, Sarbanis’ focuses in on October baseball, the World Series and finding a ticket to Game 6.
