PHILADELPHIA — Martin Brodeur stopped 22 shots, and Adam Henrique and Cam Janssen each scored goals to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 3-0 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Jaromir Jagr added an empty-netter with 1.3 seconds left.

The Flyers beat the Devils 1-0 on Saturday in New Jersey. Henrique’s first-period goal would have been enough to stand in this one. Brodeur was never seriously challenged against the NHL’s weakest offense and posted his 122nd career shutout.

The Flyers have scored two goals in their last four games and have twice been shut out over that span.

The anemic Devils haven’t been much better. They were blanked in their last two games, snapping the scoreless drought on Henrique’s goal only 1:57 into the game.

Janssen scored in the third period.

Both teams lived up to their billing as the worst offenses in the NHL. The Devils entered next-to-last in the league with 27 goals while the Flyers were at the bottom with 22.

As punchless as the Flyers offense has been, it was 52.3 seconds away from consecutive 1-0 wins after beating the Devils and holding a late lead against Carolina on Tuesday night. But the Hurricanes tied it late and won in overtime.

The victory did make it another big night at the Wells Fargo Center for New Jersey owners Joshua Harris and David Blitzer. They bought the Devils in August, giving them duel ownership with the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.

The rebuilding Sixers stunned Miami and Chicago in the building last week.

SENATORS 4, CANADIENS 1: Robin Lehner stopped 33 shots to lead host Ottawa over Montreal.

Bobby Ryan, Marc Methot, Mark Borowiecki and Kyle Turris, scored for the Senators, who posted back-to-back wins for just the second time this season.

CAPITALS 3, WILD 2: Nicklas Backstrom scored the only goal in a shootout, and host Washington rallied to beat Minnesota for its fourth straight victory.

Braden Holtby had 33 saves for the Capitals before blanking the Wild during the shootout.

After two players from each side failed to score in the shootout, Backstrom beat Harding with a wrist shot that went into the upper left corner of the net. Holtby then denied Charlie Coyle to seal the win.

Alex Ovechkin and Marcus Johansson had Washington’s goals.

RANGERS 4, BLUE JACKETS 2: Carl Hagelin scored two goals and Cam Talbot made 32 saves to lead New York past Columbus, extending the Blue Jackets’ losing streak to five games.

Rangers captain Ryan Callahan and defenseman Ryan McDonagh each added a goal and an assist.

The Rangers won for the fifth time in their last six games.

HURRICANES 1, ISLANDERS 0: Justin Peters stopped 21 shots in his third career shutout and Carolina won at home against the New York Islanders.

Radek Dvorak scored a deflected goal in the first period to help the Hurricanes win their second straight following a five-game slide that coincided with a lower-body injury to starting goalie Cam Ward.

Peters, making his sixth straight start, finished with the Hurricanes’ first shutout of the season.

LIGHTNING 4, OILERS 2: Steven Stamkos had two goals to help host Tampa Bay beat Edmonton for its sixth win in seven games.

Stamkos, who extended his goal-scoring streak to five games, has 13 goals this season.

STARS 4, RED WINGS 3: Rich Peverley’s goal at 4:41 of overtime completed a comeback and gave Dallas a win at Detroit.

BLUES 3, FLAMES 2: Alexander Steen scored his league-leading 14th goal, Brian Elliott stopped 18 shots for his 100th career win and St. Louis won at home against Calgary.
