GRAY — Zoe Adams scored nine points, Alicia Dumont added eight, and Gray-New Gloucester held Wells to fewer than 10 points in every quarter on the way to a 28-24 win over the previously unbeaten Warriors in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Thursday night.
Alison Furness scored 10 points Wells (4-1).
Gray-New Gloucester is 3-2.
GREELY 77, POLAND 58: Ashley Storey scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter and Sarah Felkel was 6 of 7 from the foul line down the stretch to help Greely (4-1) defeat Poland (4-1) at Cumberland.
Jordynne Copp finished with 14 points for Greely. Copp and Storey finished with 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively.
Poland’s Michaella Arsenault led all scorers with 26 points.
LAKE REGION 56, FALMOUTH 45: Tiana-Jo Carter scored 35 points and the Lakers (4-1) opened with a big run against the visiting Yachtsmen (1-4) at Naples.
Carter, who also had 23 rebounds, had 13 points in the first quarter when the Lakers went ahead 19-5.
Jessica Burton led Falmouth with 13 points, while Ally Hickey had 10.
YORK 47, FREEPORT 46: Chloe Smedley scored 19 points and led York (3-2) in a fourth-quarter rally over the Falcons (1-4) at Freeport.
Freeport’s Nina Davenport paced all scorers with 29 points.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 66, KENNEBUNK 25: Skye Dole scored 21 points and Alexis L’Heureux-Carland added 13 as the Raiders (1-3) cruised to an 18-0 lead over the Rams (0-4) at Fryeburg.
Nicole Bennett added 12 points.
TRAIP ACADEMY 45, SACOPEE VALLEY 27: Kaylie Andrews sank three 3-pointers as the Rangers (2-2) used a 14-3 fourth-quarter run to pull away from the Hawks (1-3) at South Hiram. Andrews finished with 12 points. Katie Cuttle added six.
Morgan Sanborn paced Sacopee Valley with 12 points.
BONNY EAGLE 52, MARSHWOOD 44: Samantha Maxfield scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Bonny Eagle (1-3) in a victory over Marshwood (0-4) at West Buxton.
Cassidy Emery added 11 points and six assists.
Lydia St. Pierre paced the Hawks with 13 points.
SCARBOROUGH 73, NOBLE 35: Bailey Adams scored 10 points in the first quarter and Ashley Briggs scored nine to get Scarborough (3-1) started in a rout of Noble (0-4) at North Berwick. The Red Storm took a 27-8 lead in the first quarter. Briggs finished with 20 points and Adams ended up with 19.
Kathryn Taylor was the lone Noble player in double figures with 10.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 61, HEBRON ACADEMY 38: Charlotte Esancy scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Panthers (1-3) downed Hebron Academy (0-4) at Yarmouth.
Hannah Carr added 14 points for NYA.
BRUNSWICK 49, OXFORD HILLS 22: Julia Champagne scored 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help the Dragons (4-1) defeat the Vikings (1-2) at Brunswick.
Anna Dimick and Madeline Suhr helped the Dragons control the boards with eight rebounds apiece.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 37, MORSE 30: Justice Barrows scored 15 points to pace the Panthers (2-2) to a win over the Shipbuilders (1-3) at Waldoboro.
Emma Harrington paced Morse with 10.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 54, ERSKINE ACADEMY 24: Jen Genthner scored 13 points, hauled in 12 rebounds and blocked two shots to lead Lincoln Academy (3-1) over Erskine Academy (1-3) at Newcastle.
MT. BLUE 53, MT. ARARAT 24: Caitlin Kane scored 13 points and Miranda Nicely had 10 as the Cougars (1-2) used a 37-3 run in the second and third quarters to pull away from the Eagles (0-4) at Farmington.
Nicole Bradstreet scored seven points for Mt. Ararat.
ST. DOMINIC 53, WISCASSET 25: Kelly Pomerleau scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Saints (4-1) over the Wolverines (0-5) at Auburn.
Brianna Goud had 10 points and five blocked shots for Wiscasset.
PINE TREE ACADEMY 43, NORTH HAVEN 28: Alex Goodman scored 14 points as Pine Tree Academy (3-1) held off North Haven (0-6) at Freeport.
