CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Ronrico White and Casey Jones each scored 20 points to lead the Chattanooga Mocs over the Maine Black Bears 86-80 in the Dr. Pepper Classic title game.

Dimitry Coronel led Maine (2-10) with 24 points, while Kilian Cato finished with 12 points and Christian Ejiga, Shaun Lawton and Troy Reid-Knight each chipped in with 10.

Shooting 51.6 percent from the field in the first half, the Black Bears took a 43-39 lead at halftime. But the Bears cooled off after the break, shooting 42.9 percent from the floor. Meanwhile the Mocs (6-8) knocked down 58.6 percent of their field-goal attempts.

Down 69-68 with just over six minutes left, White knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Mocs up for good. The Black Bears were able to make it a one-possession game several times down the stretch, but 3-pointers by White and Mason in the final minutes secured the victory for the host Mocs.

CLARK 75, USM 55: Senior guard Nicholas DaPrato scored a game-high 26 points to lead Clark University (9-2) over the University of Southern Maine (5-7) at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Tournament, at Pittsford, N.Y.

The Huskies were led by senior center Tyler Penney’s 12 points. Cole Libby and reserve Jacob Littlefield both scored 10 points.

Clark led 47-30 at the break.

BATES 97, BERKELEY 73: Sophomore guard Mike Boornazian scored 23 points to lead Bates (7-3) over Berkeley (5-6) in the Salem State Holiday Classic in Salem, Mass.

Graham Safford added 17 points for the Bobcats. First-year players Marcus and Malcolm Delpeche, brothers from Wilmington, Del., combined for 21 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots in the game.

LYCOMING 75, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 51: Michael Rudy went 3 of 3 on 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 13 points to lead the Warriors (5-3) over the Nor’easters (1-7) in the opener of the Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament at Williamsport, Pa.

Brayden Morse scored 11 points, and Jesse Dykstra added seven points and eight rebounds for the Nor’easters,.

(6) OKLA. STATE 92, ROBERT MORRIS 66: Phil Forte scored 20 points and the host Cowboys (12-1) looked sharp after a nine-day break, beating Robert Morris (5-9).

(9) BAYLOR 81, ORAL ROBERTS 55: Taurean Prince scored 10 of his 16 points in the go-ahead run as the Bears (11-1) overcame a slow start to beat Oral Roberts (6-7).

FOOTBALL

MUSIC CITY BOWL: Bo Wallace ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as Mississippi beat Georgia Tech 25-17 in Nashville, Tenn.

The junior quarterback and Tennessee native also threw for 256 yards and ran for 86 more, giving him the school record for total yards in a season and most completions in a season, topping Eli Manning for both. Ole Miss (8-5) has won six straight bowls.

Georgia Tech (7-6) has lost 8 of 9 bowls.

ARMED FORCES BOWL: The triple option attack of Navy proved too much for Middle Tennessee to control as the Midshipmen beat the Blue Raiders 24-6 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Quarterback Keenan Reynolds led the Mids (9-4) with two rushing touchdowns.

ALAMO BOWL: Quarterback Marcus Mariota had 386 total yards and No. 10 Oregon returned two interceptions for touchdowns, spoiling Texas Coach Mack Brown’s farewell with a runaway 30-7 victory in San Antonio, Texas.

The BCS-snubbed Ducks (11-2) dominated throughout.

Brown received warm goodbyes from a sellout crowd in what was practically a home game for Texas (8-5). But the blowout was a final reminder of why Brown is resigning after 16 seasons at Texas, where he couldn’t sustain his early success with the Longhorns.
