Nordic skiing presentation

Join Hidden Valley Nature Center for a presentation titled “Maine’s Nordic Skiing Heritage: 1870-Present” at 5 p.m. Sunday in the in HI-Hut at 131 Egypt Road.

Scott Andrews of the Ski Museum of Maine will give an hourlong presentation about cross-country skiing in Maine, as part of his Fireside Chats series.

Recreation programs listed

The Kittery Recreation Department is accepting sign-ups for a number of programs that it will offer this winter for all ages.

Youth programs will include boys-only dance class, karate, zumbatomic, youth salsa, youth ballroom dancing, everyday manners for kids, hip-hop dance, creative dance, beginning ballet, intermediate ballet, preschool jump ’n gym, children-walking, tumbling and gymnastics.

Adults programs will include chair yoga, zumba gold, karate, Hatha yoga, Nordic walking, low-impact aerobics, cardio interval, cardio strength circuit, beginner salsa, intermediate salsa, beginning West Coast swing, ballroom dancing, belly dancing, beginning tap dance, teen/adult ballet, professional etiquette in the workplace, intro to photography, and a travel lecture series.

Senior events will include weekly movie days, breakfast, lunch, bingo and mah-jong sessions.

All registrations must be done at the Recreation Center, 120 Rogers Road.

‘Songswap’ set Thursday
