Why is U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud making such an issue of his sexual orientation? Is it to divert attention from his total lack of qualifications to be governor?

Never have we had a candidate, from either party, so unprepared by virtue of education, practical experience or intellect to guide our state through these troubled times.

The most charitable thing one can say about Rep. Michaud’s voting record is maybe he doesn’t know any better. He’s been a dependable vote for union bosses, and his protectionist economic views were completely discredited by economists across the political spectrum early in the 17th century.

The overwhelming majority of Mainers couldn’t care less that he has the same sexual orientation as Barney Frank. Our concern is that he has the same voting record as Barney Frank.
