SANFORD — Evyn Nolette hit 3-pointers on four straight possessions in the third quarter Friday night to help Sanford pull away to a 59-47 victory against Cheverus in an SMAA schoolboy basketball game.
Nolette finished with 18 points. John Morgan led the Spartans (6-4) with 21.
Noah Stebbins led the Stags (4-5) with 14 points.
BOOTHBAY 72, MADISON 47: Andrew Hallinan and John Hepburn each scored 15 points as the Seahawks (6-1) handled the Bulldogs (5-4) at Boothbay Harbor.
Evan Hepburn had 11 points and Nick Kilgus 10 for Boothbay.
Dustin West scored 13 for Madison.
SCARBOROUGH 77, MARSHWOOD 62: Milani Hicks scored 14 of his 25 points in the first quarter as the Red Storm (6-4) raced to a 39-18 lead against the Hawks (2-7) at Scarborough.
Matt Hartle added 19 points and Nate Wessel chipped in 13 for Scarborough.
Brady Innes led Marshwood with 18 points. Ryan O’Neil scored 16.
DEERING 65, MASSABESIC 58: Ahmed Ali had 21 points and eight rebounds as the Rams (8-2) topped the Mustangs (2-6) at Portland.
Patrick Lobor added 13 points and Liam Densmore had 11 for Deering. Ben Williams finished with eight points and seven rebounds, and Stephen Ochan had a strong defensive game.
Noah Gerry scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, added Cale Thornton chipped in with 17 for the Mustangs.
NORTH HAVEN 71, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 22: Avery Waterman scored 21 points and Aidan Emerson added 16 as the Hawks (8-1) downed Greater Portland Christian (0-7) at North Haven.
WISCASSET 59, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 46: Travis Padilla scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half as the Wolverines (6-4) recovered from a 28-23 halftime deficit and beat the Mustangs (4-4) at Wiscasset.
Padilla also had five assists. Matt Craig scored 10 of his 12 points after halftime for Wiscasset, and Chandler Longfellow finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Kasey Smith scored 14 points and Marcques Houston added eight for Monmouth.
LISBON 54, CARRABEC 48: Jacob Johnston had 16 points as the Greyhounds (5-5) beat the Cobras (1-8) at North Anson.
Tucker Brann added 13 points and Johnny Yim had 12 for Lisbon.
Boog Dunphy scored 11 points and Elliot Gorr 10 for Carrabec.
CAMDEN HILLS 76, MARANACOOK 59: Chandler Crans scored 25 points to lead the Windjammers (8-2) past the Black Bears (7-4) at Rockport.
Jayson Kuhn added 13 points and Connor Graffam finished with 10.
Maranacook got 25 points from Taylor Wilbur, 16 from Cam Brochu and 11 from Kent Mohlar.
THORNTON ACADEMY 68, NOBLE 51: Quinn Richardson-Newton scored 29 points as the Trojans (3-4) downed the Knights (4-5) at Saco.
Evan Wright added 13 points and Kevin Barrett scored 12 for the Trojans, who built a 28-15 halftime lead.
Grayson Waterman scored 16 points and Sean Jackson had 14 for Noble.
WESTBROOK 52, GORHAM 40: Aquai Alexander scored 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds to pace the Blue Blazes (3-8) over the Rams (4-6) at Westbrook.
Demetrious Hoskins added 15 points and eights rebounds for Westbrook. He scored six points during a 16-5 run in the third quarter.
Sam Kilborn and Nick Thibeault scored 12 points each for Gorham.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 52, A.R. GOULD 40: Isaac Lacroix scored eight of his team-leading 20 points in the first quarter to help Seacoast Christian (5-3) take control against A.R. Gould (0-7) at Eliot.
Caleb LaCroix added 12 points for Seacoast Christian, which opened with a 17-0 run.
Adam Fakhareldin led A.R. Gould with 18 points.
PORTLAND 58, BIDDEFORD 32: Jayvon Pitts-Young scored 11 points in the first quarter as the Bulldogs (10-0) grabbed a 25-8 lead on the way to beating Biddeford (0-10) at Portland.
Pitts-Young finished with 18 points. Amir Moss scored 12 for the Bulldogs.
Terrence McCann led Biddeford with seven points.
