Four years ago, I watched the debates between six candidates for governor and came away feeling that one stood out: Eliot Cutler. I watched the second debate and was even more impressed.

Anybody can talk about the issues that the polls indicate will get them votes, but Eliot Cutler had vision and he had plans for reaching ambitious but realistic goals toward that vision.

For the past three years, I have been hoping I would have another chance to vote for him. He came in second the last time because not many people knew him. I’m convinced he will be better known this time and that he will win.
