WELLS — Stephanie Woods scored all of her 11 points in the first half Wednesday, helping Wells take control in a 67-34 victory against Yarmouth in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl basketball game.

Alison Furness had 14 points to lead 12 scorers for the Warriors (12-1), who opened a 39-17 halftime lead.

Cory Langenbach and Grace O’Donnell each scored 10 for Yarmouth (3-10).

PINE TREE ACADEMY 59, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 35: Alex Goodman scored 29 points and made nine steals to lead Pine Tree Academy (9-3) over North Yarmouth Academy (5-7) at Freeport.

After a 21-21 halftime tie, Pine Tree posted 19 points in the third and fourth quarters.

Allison Verrill scored 14 for Pine Tree. Kim Emerson led the Breakers with 15 rebounds and had five blocked shots.

Charlotte Esancy led the Panthers with 18 points. Chloe Leishman added 15.

SACOPEE VALLEY 50, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 20: Cassidy Sanborn scored 13 points to lead Sacopee Valley (9-4) over Greater Portland Christian (4-9) at South Portland.

The Hawks opened their lead with a 17-2 run in the second quarter.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

SACOPEE VALLEY 60, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 24: Alex Fenderson scored 22 points, Blake Truworthy added 16 and the Hawks (3-8) beat the Lions (1-12) at South Portland.

Sacopee Valley led 28-6 at halftime.

VALLEY 70, ISLESBORO 56: Cody Laweryson scored 16 points to lead the Cavaliers (10-3) over the Eagles (5-7) at Islesboro.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

CAPE ELIZABETH/WAYNFLETE 3, CHEVERUS 2: Kate Ginder knocked in a loose puck for a power-play goal with 1:24 remaining to lift Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete (8-7) over Cheverus (6-8) at Portland.

Katie Ewald and Hannah Bosworth also scored for the Capers. Ginder chipped in an assist and Kathryn Clark had two assists.
