STANDISH — Kelly Coleman scored 17 points and Sadie DiPierro knocked down four 3-pointers while scoring 16 points to help the University of New England to its 10th straight victory, a 60-52 nonconference win over St. Joseph’s College at the Harold Alfond Center on Monday night.

The Nor’easters improved to 15-2, while the Monks slipped to 13-4.

Abby Young scored 18 for St. Joseph’s, and Morgan Cahill added 14 and Lindsay Moore 11.

(2) NOTRE DAME 87, (8)MARYLAND 83: Jewell Loyd scored a career-high 31 points, Kayla McBride had 20 and second-ranked and unbeaten Notre Dame blew a 22-point lead before coming back to win at College Park, Md.

The Irish (19-0, 6-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) appeared on their way to another easy victory after building a 41-19 lead late in the first half.

But Maryland (16-3, 4-2) stormed back behind senior star Alyssa Thomas to go up 64-63 with 10 minutes left.

(4) STANFORD 86, USC 59: Chiney Ogwumike had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the host Cardinal over Southern California (14-7, 7-2), in a game between the Pac-12’s top teams.

Mikaela Ruef added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Stanford (19-1, 8-0), winners of 18 straight.

POLL: UConn remained No. 1 in The Associated Press’ women’s basketball poll after two more easy wins.

The Huskies have won 27 straight games dating to last season’s NCAA tournament run that brought the school an eighth national championship.

The top five is rounded up by Notre Dame, Duke, Stanford and Louisville.

This was the fourth straight week that the first five teams in the poll remained unchanged. But that may not last much longer with No. 2 Notre Dame visiting No. 3 Duke on Sunday.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

(23) OKLAHOMA 88, (8) OKLAHOMA STATE 76: Ryan Spangler had 15 points and 17 rebounds as Oklahoma took an upset at Norman, Okla.

Jordan Woodard scored 18 points and reserve Tyler Neal added a season-high 15 points for the Sooners (17-4, 6-2 Big 12).

Marcus Smart had 22 points and Phil Forte scored 20 while making all six of his 3-point tries for the Cowboys (16-4, 4-3).

It was the first time both teams have entered a “Bedlam” rivalry game ranked since 2005.

(9) VILLANOVA 65, GEORGETOWN 60: James Bell scored 16 points as Villanova prevailed in a messy, foul-plagued game of stops and starts at Washington.

Daniel Ochefu added 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting for the Wildcats (18-2, 7-1 Big East).

(17) DUKE 80, (18) PITTSBURGH 65: Jabari Parker scored 21 points and reserve guard Andre Dawkins added 20 as visiting Duke pulled away for a win over Pittsburgh (18-3, 6-2).

Amile Jefferson chipped in a season-high 14 points for the Blue Devils (17-4, 6-2 ACC).

Lamar Patterson had 14 points for the Panthers.

POLL: Arizona and Syracuse are 1-2 in The Associated Press college basketball poll for the eighth consecutive week.

The Wildcats (20-0) are again a runaway No. 1, receiving 63 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel. The Orange (19-0) got the other two No. 1 votes.

Florida jumped from sixth to third while Wichita State (21-0), the other undefeated Division I team, moved up one spot to fourth.
