In regards to your Jan. 23 article “Biscuit baker rises to occasion, wins Biddeford startup funds,” about startup funding being awarded to entrepreneurs who want to open their own business in downtown Biddeford:
What amazed me was the inappropriate question asked of Stacy Cooper by the Main Street Challenge judges. One of the judges asked her “if she is truly prepared for the long hours and hard work it will take to run Biscuits & Co. … .”
I wonder if they would’ve asked the same question if they were interviewing a man.
