A Bingham man has been arrested and charged with two counts of armed bank robbery in connection with a pair of recent holdups in the Somerset County town.
Travis A. Carrigan, 35, of Murray Street, is charged with the robbery Jan. 17 at the Camden National Bank on Main Street in Bingham and another Feb. 4 at the Skowhegan Savings Bank, also on Main Street in Bingham.
Carrigan acted alone on both occasions, police said, and used the same get-away vehicle, a 1997 four-door Buick LeSabre.
Police have previously said the man who robbed both banks was wearing a ski mask and wielding a hammer.
