PhoPa Gallery will present the exhibition “TAMARIND to HOPE, Tim Higbee | Hope Editions, print collaborations + solo work,” from Wednesday through April 12. The gallery is located at 132 Washington Ave., Portland.

The opening reception will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. A talk with artist Tim Higbee and collaborating artist George Lloyd will be held at 2 p.m. on March 9.

The exhibit features Higbee’s lithographic print collaborations and solo work from the Tamarind Institute and Hope Editions. Higbee studied and printed professionally at the prestigious Tamarind Institute, a division of the College of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico. In 2006, he moved to Hope and later founded Hope Editions, which specializes in contemporary and traditional approaches to lithography through collaborations between artist and master printer.

The following collaborative artists will also be on display: Hope Edition artists Alan Bray, Sam Cady, David Kapp and George Lloyd. Also featured are Tamarind Institute artists Daniel Brice, Willie Cole, Dirk DeBruycker, Eric Garcia, Nicola Lopez, Santiago Perez, Johnnie Winona Ross, Jason Wilson, and Peterson Yazzi.

Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is free.
