WELLS – A car crash and a car fire are snarling northbound traffic on the Maine Turnpike between Exit 19 in Wells and Exit 25 in Kennebunk.
The Maine State Police have assigned four troopers to the crash site, which took place around 4 p.m. Initially, three lanes of the turnpike had to be closed to traffic, but by 4:30 p.m. only one lane remained closed.
A dispatcher for the state police said he did not know if the crash and vehicle fire were related.
