“LIV & INGMAR: PAINFULLY CONNECTED,” documentary, directed by Dheeraj Akolkar. In 1965, Liv Ullmann met Ingmar Bergman during the filming of “Persona.” The two artists went on to have a love affair and to collaborate on 11 films, including some considered to be among cinema’s finest masterpieces. Akolkar explores their relationship through the eyes of Ullmann, now 74, who tells of her life with the now-deceased Bergman, from the house that they once shared. Archival footage accompanies her descriptions and recollections, which tell a story that begins with passion and turns to loneliness and pain.
