CANTON, Ohio — All five starters scored at least 20 points Wednesday night for the Canton Charge in a 117-108 victory against the Maine Red Claws.

Chris Wright led the Red Claws (19-26) with 29 points. Frank Gaines added 26.

Maine led by as many as eight points in the first quarter. Gaines hit a pair of free throws with 5:07 left and followed with a jumper to give the Red Claws a 27-20 lead. Maine made it 31-23 on a layup by Tyshawn Taylor with 3:34 left.

The Charge then went on a 14-3 run to end the quarter. Maine stretched its advantage to eight again in the second but Canton was able to keep pace. The Charge made their move in the third quarter with a 15-4 run for a 91-81 lead.

The Red Claws got within 96-92 early in the fourth but Antoine Agudio scored seven straight points, putting the Charge back in control.

Agudio led the Charge with 24 points. Center Kyrylo Fesenko added 22, as did forward Shane Edwards.

Will Cherry added 21 for Canton and Gilbert Brown finished with 20.

Maine struggled at the free-throw line, making 63 percent of its shots and was 9 of 26 from 3-point range.

Maine returns home for a game against Sioux Falls at 7 p.m. Friday at the Expo.
