“CHILD’S POSE,” directed by Calin Peter Netzer. This drama, which won the coveted Golden Bear award for best film at the 2013 Berlin Film Festival, tells of a mother’s fierce protective nature and a morally bankrupt upper-class society. Set in Romania, the story centers on a wealthy 60-year-old woman (Lumanita Gheorghiu) who wishes her 34-year-old son (Bogdan Dumitrache) would return her overbearing affections. When he is charged with manslaughter, she sees her chance to emotionally bully him back into her life, by using her power and influence to keep him out of prison. But will her plan be successful, and will he play along? Not rated. 1:52. In Romanian with English subtitles.
