Maine State Police say they broke up a burglary ring in the Penobscot County town of Plymouth and recovered a number of stolen items, including an ice augur and work boots.

Police charged James Field, 25 of Pittsfield and Jacob Graham, 18 of Hartland, after a homeowner found the two in his barn, police said.

Troopers used a police dog to track the men into nearby woods off Moosehead Trail.

The two men are also connected to five other daytime burglaries this week in Pittsfield, St. Albans and Harmony, police said. Investigators also say they recovered electronics and collectibles from the suspects.

The two are free on bail from Penosbcot County Jail pending a court appearance.
