NAPLLES — Casey Heath went 4 for 4 and Ashley Clark had three hits as Lake Region ended an 18-game losing streak in softball with an 11-2 win over Gray-New Gloucester on Monday.

The Lakers (1-1) scored 10 runs in the top of the seventh as 16 players batted.

Clark also pitched the win, allowing five hits with nine strikeouts.

Zoe Adams and Nichole Lowell each had a pair of hits for Gray-New Gloucester (1-1).

BIDDEFORD 4, SANFORD 0: Kirsten Lebreux struck out 11 and allowed three hits as the Tigers (1-1) beat the Spartans (1-2) at Biddeford.

Lebreux also added an RBI single for the Tigers.

Alex Quigley doubled home Jocelyn Moody for a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Biddeford added three more during a sixth-inning rally keyed by Brittany Roy’s two-run single.

CHEVERUS 7, MCAULEY 2: Brittany Bell struck out 12 in pitching a six-hitter and also hit a solo home run for the Stags (2-0) as they downed the Lions (0-2) at Cheverus.

Olivia Mull hit a pair of triples and drove in four runs; Casey Simpson had two hits, including a triple, and scored twice for the Stags, who broke the game open with a five-run third inning.

Samantha Libby and Ashley Littlefield each had two hits and scored one run for McAuley; Littlefield also had one RBI.

FALMOUTH 12, YORK 4: Amanda Carver hit a pair of doubles and a triple and also struck out seven and gave up two earned runs in pitching a five-hitter for Falmouth (1-0) in a win over the visiting Wildcats (0-1).

Maddie Rouhana added three hits for Falmouth, including a fifth-inning grand slam that broke open a 7-3 lead.

York was led by Kendall Carr, who hit a solo homer and a triple.

NOBLE 6, PORTLAND 0: Amber Kelly struck out 12 in her third straight shutout and had two hits to lead the Knights (3-0) past the Bulldogs (0-2) at Portland.

CAPE ELIZABETH 13, YARMOUTH 4: Monika Scheindel had four hits to pace an 18-hit attack for the Capers (2-0) as they downed the Clippers (0-2) at Yarmouth.

Mary Perkins added a pair of RBI for Cape Elizabeth, which combined for seven hits during a six-run sixth-inning rally that broke open a 6-3 lead.

Kallie Hutchinson hit a double and a triple for Yarmouth.

SCARBOROUGH 5, GORHAM 2: Chloe Gorey had a solo home run in the first inning to help lead the Red Storm (3-0) over the Rams (0-2) at Gorham.

Emily Deluca had a triple for Gorham.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5, POLAND 2: Sarah Harriman recorded her 500th career strikeout while pitching a four-hitter for the Raiders (1-1) in a win over the Knights (2-1) at Fryeburg.

Harriman, who did not allow an earned run, reached the milestone by striking out the first batter in the third inning.

Kylie Locke went 2 for 2 and hit a sacrifice fly for Fryeburg.

Lindsay Theriault went 2 for 2 with a walk for Poland.

WELLS 16, FREEPORT 4: Stephanie Woods and Christina LeBlanc each homered for the Warriors (2-0) as they downed the Falcons (0-1) in five innings at Freeport.

Woods finished with four hits to pace a 23-hit attack for the Warriors, who scored nine runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.

Vanessa Lee hit a home run for Freeport.

WINDHAM 9, DEERING 3: Olivia Mora hit a two-run double to spark a seven-run third inning for the Eagles (1-1) as they pulled away from the Rams (0-2) at Windham.

Katelyn Tucker struck out nine and walked three while pitching a three-hitter for the Eagles; Taylor Tibbetts and Sadie Nelson had three hits apiece.

Isabelle Doughty had a pair of hits for Deering.

CARRABEC 16, BOOTHBAY 0: Paige Chadbourne had two singles, scored three runs and stole four bases as the Cobras (1-0) cruised to a win at North Anson.

Brooklynne Lewis had two singles and two RBI and Liberty Chestnut had a double and drove in three runs.

Boothbay dropped to 0-1.

MESSALONSKEE 11, EDWARD LITTLE 7: Mollyann Killingbeck hit a home run and drove in three runs to help the Eagles win in Oakland.

Kylee Knight had a triple, two singles and two RBI for the Eagles (2-0).

Taylor Easler had two hits, including a double, for Messalonskee.

Danny Knight had a triple and a home run for the Red Eddies while Karle Stubbs added three singles.

MADISON 16, ST. DOMINIC 0: Emily McKenney struck out 13 and didn’t allow a hit as the Bulldogs won at Thomas College.

Kirsten Wood had four hits and five RBI, including a three-run triple. Erin Whalen chipped in with three hits and four RBI for the Bulldogs (2-0).

St. Dom’s dropped to 0-2.

CONY 12, SKOWHEGAN 9: Senior Olivia Deeves had a two-run single in the top of the 11th inning to help lift the Rams.

Arika Brochu struck out 14 and pitched the complete game for Cony (3-0), which trailed 8-5 after three innings.

Deeves finished with five singles.

Mikayla Toth, Eliza Bedard, Kaitlyn Therriault and Emma Fitzgerald each had two hits for the Indians (2-1).

LAWRENCE 16, LEWISTON 1: The Bulldogs (2-0) pounded out 14 hits on their way to a win in Fairfield.

Paige Belanger had a home run and a single to lead the way for Lawrence.

Emily McLean added a double and a single and Molly Moen, Abby King, Sarah Chace and Audri Fortier each had two singles.

Meagan Mathon had two singles for Lewiston (0-2).

LEAVITT 5, ERSKINE 1: Kaitlyn DeBlois had two doubles to lead the Hornets (2-0) to a win in Turner.

WELLS 10, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 8: Amanda Deshaies scored four goals, and Hailey Smith and Jasmine Loukola added three apiece as the Warriors won their opener at Fryeburg.

Alexandria Fraize paced Fryeburg (0-2) with five goals.

KENNEBUNK 10, MASSABESIC 7: Jenny Bush had three goals and an assist to lead the Rams (1-0) over the Mustangs (0-1) at Waterboro.

Kyra Schwartzman added three goals and Bella Kudas had 11 saves.

Delia Sylvain had three goals for Massabesic.
