Sam Libby hit a home run to center field in the fourth inning Wednesday, breaking a tie and leading McAuley to a 3-1 victory against Windham in an SMAA softball game.

After Libby’s RBI double gave McAuley (2-2) a 1-0 lead in the second, the Eagles (1-3) tied it in the third when Katelyn Tucker scored on an error.

Ally Tillotson of McAuley then hit a fifth-inning homer.

Taylor Whaley pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts for McAuley.

Sadie Nelson had two of Windham’s three hits. Libby, Tillotson and Whaley had three hits each, and Lillie Donovan added two doubles for the Lions.

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, FALMOUTH 1: Anna Goldstein gave up six hits and two walks but the Capers (3-0) held Falmouth (1-1) to one run at Cape Elizabeth.

Cape scored two runs on en error in the third inning. Mary Perkins followed with an RBI single for a 3-0 lead.

The Yachtsmen’s run came in the fifth on an inside-the-park homer by Krysia Lesniak.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, WELLS 0: Kylie Locke hit for the cycle, including a three-run homer, and also walked en route to accumulating six RBI and scoring three runs as Fryeburg Academy (2-1) downed the Warriors (2-1) at Wells.

Sarah Harriman pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts, and also blasted a two-run homer and scored four times. Jeanette White added four hits and three RBI.

CHEVERUS 10, MARSHWOOD 1: Josie Bradshaw drove in three runs on a pair of doubles as Cheverus (3-0) downed Marshwood (1-2) at Portland.

Brittany Bell of Cheverus struck out 14, allowed six hits, no walks and no earned runs.

SANFORD 4, PORTLAND 0: Jeanette Jones struck out 14 as the Spartans (3-1) shut out Portland (0-3) at Sanford.

Emily Begin singled, doubled and drove in two runs for Sanford.

YARMOUTH 9, FREEPORT 7: Kallie Hutchinson’s sixth-inning single led to a three-base error, bringing home Hutchinson and Monica Austin to break a 7-7 tie and lift the Clippers (1-2) over the Falcons (0-2) at Yarmouth.

Melissa Levinson was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI for Yarmouth, which had five hits but drew 12 walks.

Hannah Ray was 3 for 4 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs for Freeport.

TRAIP ACADEMY 17, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 5: Kiara Perez hit a bases-loaded triple to highlight a six-run first inning that helped the Rangers (1-0) to a six-inning victory against Old Orchard Beach (0-2) at Kittery.

Traip added runs in each inning.

Alli Barrett had three hits, including an inside-the-park homer, and Kaylie Andrews, who pitched a three-hitter, added three hits for Traip.

BIDDEFORD 13, MASSABESIC 9: Erin Martin had three hits and scored twice for the Tigers (2-1), who had five runs in the eighth inning after rallying from a 7-2 deficit to beat the Mustangs (2-2) at Waterboro.

SOUTH PORTLAND 11, NOBLE 3: Olivia Indorf struck out seven and hit three doubles for the Red Riots (2-1) against the Knights (3-1) at North Berwick.

Laurine German had three hits and Paige Carter finished with two for the Red Riots.

Amber Kelly, who struck out five, had two hits with an RBI and a run for Noble. Morgan Perillo also had two hits for the Knights.

KENNEBUNK 9, YORK 6: Gabrielle Harrison hit a two-run double in the fourth inning to break a tie and put the Rams (1-2) ahead for good against York (0-2) at Kennebunk.

Meaghan Dube of Kennebunk struck out eight, walked two and gave up six hits. Stephanie Rundlett of York struck out 16, allowing eight walks and two hits.

THORNTON ACADEMY 12, GORHAM 0: Bailey Tremblay faced only 16 batters in a game shortened to five innings, allowing no hits and no walks as the Trojans (2-1) beat Gorham (0-2) at Saco.

Kaylee Burns drove home four runs and scored once.

GREELY 4, LAKE REGION 0: Miranda Moore pitched a one-hit shutout as Greely (3-0) defeated Lake Region (1-2) at Cumberland.

Moore struck out three.

The Rangers scored the first run in the first inning. Kayley Cimino walked and later scored on a bunt by Sarah Felkel. Elyse Dinan finished with two hits.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 11, LEAVITT 6: Miranda Achorn went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBI, Morgan Achorn was 3 for 5 with two doubles and three runs, and the Eagles (4-0) beat the Hornets (2-1) at Newcastle.

Abby Farrin of Lincoln struck out eight, allowing two earned runs.

GARDINER 15, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Gardiner (3-0) collected 19 hits in downing Medomak Valley (0-4) in five innings at Waldoboro.

Lily Chepke led the Tigers with two doubles, a single and four RBI, and Bri Brochu added a double, three singles and three RBI.

Ellie Luken, Brittany Rollins, and Kristal Smith each singled and doubled, and Morgan Carver added a three-run double.

Smith, the winning pitcher, allowed one hit and struck out 10.

MADISON 7, HALL-DALE 1: Emily McKenney pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts as the Bulldogs (3-0) defeated Hall-Dale (2-2) at Madison.

Aly LeBlanc drove in three runs with a triple and a single for Madison. Savanna Kandiko also had two hits. McKenney walked three times and was hit by a pitch.

Kayla Johnson doubled and Morgan Rush singled for Hall-Dale.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 11, MT. ABRAM 2: Becky Bryant struck out 13 and Kylie Kemp drove in four runs to lead the Mustangs (1-1) over Mt. Abram (0-1) at Monmouth.

Bryant walked three, and Kemp hit a two-run double and a two-run single.

Paxton Lessard added a pair of hits for Monmouth. Katie Jordan struck out nine for Mt. Abram.

OCEANSIDE 11, ERSKINE ACADEMY 10: Amber Grady doubled a run home in the seventh inning but a second runner was thrown out from center field on the same play as Oceanside (2-1) held off the Eagles (0-1) at South China.

Brianna Dugan led the Mariners with four singles and a double, and Trittany Penn and Ari Curtis each singled twice.

Winning pitcher Paige Tyler struck out nine and hit a two-run homer in the fifth.

Grady led Erskine with a single and double.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 4, OAK HILL 2: Emily Hogan had two singles to lead the Phoenix past the Raiders (0-4) at Wales.

YORK 14, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3: Courtney Cole finished with six goals and one assist, Alexandra Lawlor had four goals and three assists, and Taylor Simpson added three goals and one assist to lead the Wildcats (1-0) past the Panthers (0-2) at York.

Melanie Regan scored twice and Alex Wahlstrom also had a goal for NYA.

MARSHWOOD 16, MCAULEY 4: Lindsey Poirier and Hannah Folger scored four goals each as the Hawks won an opener at South Berwick.

Brittany Bossi added three goals and Hannah Costin two for Marshwood. Natalie Juris scored twice for the Lions.

GOULD ACADEMY 13, WELLS 7: Hailey Smith scored three goals for Wells (1-1) against Gould Academy (1-2) at Bethel. Nicki Moody added two goals for the Warriors.

CAPE ELIZABETH 12, FALMOUTH 5: Hanna Newhall scored five goals to lead the Capers (2-0) over Falmouth (0-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

Abby McInerney added three goals, Kirsten Rudberg scored two and Kate Bosworth made 16 saves for Cape.

Sabrina Smithwick scored twice for the Yachtsmen.
