SOUTH BERWICK — Luke Stankovich hit a two-run single to tie the game in the sixth inning before the winning run scored on a wild pitch Thursday as Marshwood rallied to a 4-3 victory against Cheverus in an SMAA baseball game.

Zach Quintal allowed three earned runs and struck out six for the Hawks (3-0) against the Stags (2-1).

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

FREEPORT 12, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3: Lizzy Martin and Juila Dearden combined for seven goals to lead the Falcons (2-0) past the Panthers (0-3) at Yarmouth.

Courtney Broderick added two goals and an assist, Meredith Broderick and Emily Johnson had a pair of goals each, and Molly Lane made seven saves for Freeport.

Olivia Madore scored twice, and Alex Wahlstrom had a goal and two assists for NYA.

MORSE 14, CAMDEN HILLS 7: Ruth Nadeau had seven goals and an assist as the Shipbuilders (2-0) beat the Windjammers (1-2) at Bath.

Sophie Sreden and Isabel Paulus each added two goals and an assist, and Cat Sener had 13 saves for the Shipbuilders. Katherine Orne led Camden Hills with three goals.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

THORNTON ACADEMY 14, DEERING 7: Isaac Sinclair had six goals and four assists for the Trojans (3-1), who took a 12-2 halftime lead and held off the Rams (1-2) at Saco.

Cody Falton added three goals and one assist, and Charlie Katz collected two goals and one assist for Thornton.

Sam Hornblower scored twice for Deering.

SOUTH PORTLAND 18, MARSHWOOD 4: Thomas Leddy finished with six goals for the Red Riots (3-0), who cruised past the Hawks (0-4) at South Portland.

Jack Fiorini added three goals and two assists for the Red Riots, who led 13-2 at halftime.

FREEPORT 11, WELLS 6: Sam Wogan had five goals and two assists to lead the Falcons (2-0) over the Warriers (1-1) at Freeport.

Eli Fox, Ramsey Dodge and Connor Dostie each added a pair of goals, and Zach Wogan made 22 saves for Freeport.

Alex McCormack-Kuhman scored twice for Wells.
