One hundred seventy-six graduates received associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees at a Maine Maritime Academy commencement ceremony in Castine Saturday.
Commencement speaker John Barlow, vice president for academic affairs at the college, spoke to the students, dispensing advice to give them an upper hand as they move into the working world.
Barlow is set to retire this month after 44 years at the college.
Maine Maritime is a public college offering 18 degree programs in engineering, management, science and transportation.
