CONCORD, N.H — A New Hampshire airman convicted of sexual exploitation of a child has been sentenced to 17.5 years in prison.
Federal prosecutors say 22-year-old Eric Morrison was stationed with the Air Force at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa in 2013 when he communicated via computer with Erin Upham in Manchester. The communications included photographs of Upham sexually abusing a child.
Court documents indicate Morrison directed Upham to sexually abuse the child during at least one video chat session.
Morrison and Upham both pleaded guilty in January. Morrison had faced up to 30 years at sentencing.
Upham is to be sentenced May 15.
Prosecutors and court documents did not reveal the victim’s age.
