SCARBOROUGH — Ben Shea scored three goals Saturday to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 10-5 win over Scarborough in a battle of undefeated boys’ lacrosse teams.

Owen Thoreck, Noah Haversat and RJ Sarka added two goals apiece for Cape Elizabeth (5-0), the reigning Class B state champion. Haversat also had an assist.

Christian Neelon had two goals and an assist for the Red Storm (5-1), the defending Class A state champions.

FALMOUTH 12, CHEVERUS 10: IV Stucker scored four goals and also had an assist for the Yachtsmen (5-0) as they edged the Stags (3-3) at Portland.

Tyler Jordan added three goals and an assist.

Cheverus was paced by Nick Schleh with four goals and Tom Lawson with three goals and an assist.

FREEPORT 8, CAMDEN HILLS 7: Perrin Davidson took a feed from Sam Wogan and fired a low shot into the goal with 1 second left in the second overtime to give the Falcons (4-2) a win against Camden Hills (2-4) in Freeport.

The goal was Davidson’s second of the game. Wogan had three goals and an assist.

EDWARD LITTLE 8, PORTLAND 4: Cam Cormier had three goals and three assists to lead the Red Eddies (3-3) past the Bulldogs (2-4) in Portland.

WAYNFLETE 14, OAK HILL 2: Timmy Bollinger scored four goals and assisted on two others, and Will Nelligan finished with three goals and one assist to lead the Flyers (4-1) past the Raiders (2-4) at Portland.

Henry Cleaves, Harry Baker-Connick and Joe Connors added two goals apiece, and Aaron Lee chipped in with a goal and three assists. Cleaves also had two assists.

Both Oak Hill goals were scored by Kyle Flaherty.

BONNY EAGLE 14, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Kyle Whitman and Ryan Kern scored four goals apiece and combined for three assists as the Scots (3-3) cruised past the Falcons (1-5) at Standish.

Cam Brown, Austin Havu and Antonio Bruni added two goals apiece. Brown also had three assists.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

WAYNFLETE 12, SCARBOROUGH 7: Leigh Fernandez scored five goals as the Flyers (3-2) built an 8-3 halftime lead and held off the Red Storm (3-1) at Portland.

Kaitlin Prince scored a pair of goals for Scarborough.

MARSHWOOD 12, YORK 10: Korinne Bohunsky finished with seven goals and an assist to lead the Hawks (4-1) to an overtime victory against York (2-3) in South Berwick.

The teams were tied 4-4 at halftime and 9-9 at the end of regulation.

Hannah Folger added two goals and four assists for Marshwood, and Lindsey Poirier scored twice.

Taylor Simpson and Kayla Kelly each notched three goals for York. Courtney Cole and Emma Rohrer added two apiece.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 6, MT. ARARAT 3: Alex Wahlstrom had three goals and an assist, and Mary Noyes scored twice to lead the Panthers (2-4) past the Eagles (1-4) in Topsham.

Olivia Madore also scored for NYA. Alison Nolan, Carly Raymond and Sierra Gilley scored for Mt. Ararat.

WESTBROOK 10, OXFORD HILLS 8: Jackie Harris scored four goals and Emma Riley added three to pace the Blue Blazes (3-1) to a victory over the Vikings (1-3) in Westbrook.

Oxford Hills was led by Tabla Smedberg with three goals. Nicole Zufelt and Katie Bowie each had two goals and an assist.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 12, OCEANSIDE 3: Kensie Hill scored three goals for the Raiders (1-4) in a win over Oceanside (2-3) at Fryeburg.

Ali Fraize, Kenna Gerchman, Hannah Frye and Shelby Hesslein added two goals apiece, and Molly Ekland scored her first career goal.

WELLS 16, NOBLE 10: Jasmine Loukola scored five goals and Amanda Deshaies added two goals and two assists to lead the Warriors (2-3) over the Knights (0-5) at Wells.

Hailey Smith, Betsy Andrews and Alyssa Loukola also contributed two goals apiece for Wells.

Noble was led by Kaylin Thompson with four goals.

BASEBALL

SCARBOROUGH 6, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Matt Hartl hit a two-out, two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth inning to break open a 3-1 lead for the Red Storm (2-4) against the visiting Red Riots (6-1).

Scarborough starter Zach Carriero struck out five without a walk while giving up one run on two hits over five innings. Ben Greenberg closed with two scoreless innings and added an RBI triple.

The Red Riots took a 1-0 lead in the third on Cosmo Romano’s sacrifice fly.

MARSHWOOD 13, DEERING 11: Holden Jackman hit a two-run single that gave the Hawks (5-2) the lead and Zack Quintal added a two-run triple to cap a seven-run sixth inning against the Rams (2-5) at South Berwick.

Zach Hodges hit an RBI double and a solo homer and finished with three hits for the Hawks. Jackman drove in three runs.

Deering was led by Nick Bevilacqua, who had three hits and drove in two runs. Kevin Goldberg added two RBI.

SOFTBALL

CAPE ELIZABETH 13, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Megan Nicholson and Michaela Pinette each hit a two-run double and Monika Scheindel added a two-run single as the host Capers (7-0) scored seven runs in the second inning to pull away from Traip (2-2).

Cape scored three more in the third on Tess Haller’s long home run, and two in the fourth to invoke the mercy rule in the fifth inning.

Anna Goldstein and Kate Rabasca combined on a three-hitter.
