BIDDEFORD — Erin Martin singled and scored on a two-out double by Abbie Paquette in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday as Biddeford edged Cheverus 2-1 in softball.

Paquette scattered eight hits and finished with four strikeouts and no walks to earn the complete-game victory for the Tigers (7-1).

Cheverus starter Brittany Bell struck out six with no walks in pitching a nine-hitter.

Paquette, Martin and Brittany Roy finished with two hits apiece for the Tigers and Casey Simpson had a pair of hits for the Stags (6-2).

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5, YORK 2: Maria Valente hit a two-run double in the first inning and Zoe Adams added a two-run homer in the third for the Patriots (3-5) against the Wildcats (0-7) at Gray.

Sophia Stevens and Julia Harrod each singled in a run in the sixth for York.

NOKOMIS 2, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Sara Packard struck out eight and allowed three hits to lead the Warriors (8-0) over the Windjammers (4-4) at Newport.

Becky Orcutt homered in a two-run fourth inning. Courtney Carlson had two hits for Nokomis.

LACROSSE

GORHAM 14, SCARBOROUGH 13: Katie Tucker scored five goals to pace the Rams (2-3) as they erased a four-goal deficit to rally past the Red Storm (3-2) at Scarborough.

Meghan Cushing and Jen Darasz added three goals apiece for Gorham.

Scarborough was led by Kaitlin Prince and Emma Smith with three goals each.

YORK 15, WELLS 3: Taylor Simpson scored six times and assisted on a seventh goal to pace the Wildcats (3-3) over Wells (2-4) in York.

Courtney Cole added three goals for York, Emma Rohrer two goals and two assists, and Amanda Lillie a goal and three assists. Jasmine Loukola notched a goal and an assist for the Warriors.

MORSE 21, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 3: Ruth Nadeau scored six goals and Grace Koslosky, Sophie Sreden and Madison Savary added three goals apiece as the Shipbuilders (4-1) cruised past the Falcons (1-4) at Rumford.

Isabelle Paulus finished with one goal and three assists for Morse and Koslosky and Sreden chipped in one assist apiece.

OCEANSIDE 13, LINCOLN 8: Lily Vachon scored four times as Oceanside (3-3) defeated the Eagles (0-5) in Newcastle.

Alexis Pine added three for the Mariners and Brittany Rytky had two goals. Ashely Mason tallied three times for Lincoln, and Kaely Lewis twice.

SOUTH PORTLAND 5, SANFORD 3: Abby Letourneau’s three goals led South Portland (2-3) against the Spartans (1-4) in Sanford.

Brianne Maloney and Shae O’Brien also scored for the Red Riots and Lily SanGiovanni made 24 saves. Brenna Lambert, Courtney Dumont and Monica Trausch each scored for Sanford.

San Kayla Burgess made 20 saves.

WESTBROOK 17, MCAULEY 7: Jackie Harris scored three goals, and Katie Berry and Gabbi Pabst chipped in two apiece as the Blue Blazes (4-1) topped the Lions (1-3) at Portland.

Natalie Juris had three goals and Allison Tardif had two for McAuley.

FREEPORT 16, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3: Emily Johnson and Meredith Broderick each had three goals as the Falcons (5-1) handled the Raiders (1-5) at Fryeburg.

Alexandria Fraize had two goals for the Raiders.

WAYNFLETE 6, CAPE ELIZABETH 5: Cat Johnson had three goals and an assist, and Leigh Fernandez two goals and an assist, to lead the Flyers (4-2) over Cape Elizabeth (4-2) in Portland.

Sofia Canning added a goal and an assist for Waynflete. Hannah Newhall scored twice for the Capers; Sophie Hewitt, Maisie Perkins and Abby McInerney notched one each.

Charlotte Majercik stopped seven shots for the win. Cape Elizabeth’s Kate Bosworth made nine saves.

CHEVERUS 12, PORTLAND 3: Elyse Caiazzo had three goals and an assist, and Alex Logan three goals as Cheverus (4-0) beat the Bulldogs (1-2) in Portland.

Meredith Willard added two goals for the Stags, while Sadie Lyons contributed a goal and five assists. Anne Veronerau, MaryKate Walsh and Natalie Waite also scored for Cheverus. Hallie Allex, Isabel Stehli and Erin Mahoney tallied for Portland.

MT. ARARAT 14, OXFORD HILLS 4: Sierra Gilley and Alison Nolan led the Eagles (2-4) with four goals apiece as they downed the Vikings (1-4) at Topsham. Rebecca Schuman, Erin Tome and Carly Raymond added three goals apiece for the Eagles and Schuman also had three assists.

Oxford Hills got one goal each from Coley Zufelt, Paige Garcia, Katie Bowie and Haylee Chute.

MARSHWOOD 11, WINDHAM 4: Lindsey Poirier scored eight goals to lead the Hawks (5-1) as they beat the Eagles (1-3) at Windham.

Hannah Folger added two goals and two assists for Marshwood and Korinne Bohunsky scored one goal and assisted on two others.

Emily Gilman scored a pair of goals for Windham.

THORNTON ACADEMY 11, BONNY EAGLE 4: Paige Leblanc finished with four goals and Carly McKenna scored three times for the Trojans (3-2) in a win over the Scots (1-4) at Standish.

Four players scored a goal for Bonny Eagle and Abigail Ward finished with 14 saves for the Scots.
