Buxton police have arrested two people and have an arrest warrant for a third in connection with an attack in which a woman was tied up and left bleeding from the head.

Police were called to a home at 32 Callahan Road at 9:15 p.m. on April 11 after a woman was attacked by two men and a woman whom she interrupted during a burglary of her house, police said. The three left after taking money from the house.

The woman was taken to Mercy Hospital in Portland for treatment of her injuries.

Police released little information about the attackers at the time but took the unusual step of releasing a picture of the victim with scrapes on her forehead and cheek.

Police arrested Stacey Day, 35, of Buxton at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, charging her with robbery and aggravated assault. An hour later, they arrested Gregory Hoar, 29, of Gorham, charging him with robbery and aggravated assault also.

Both are being held on $20,000 bail at York County Jail in Alfred.

Police are still searching for Michael Crockett Jr., 30, of Buxton, and have an arrest warrant charging him with robbery and aggravated assault.

Police ask that anyone with information on Crockett’s whereabouts call 929-5151 or 929-6612.
