When it comes to serving the people, Rep. Ellie Espling, R-New Gloucester, gets the job done.
During the July 12 fundraiser for the New Gloucester Veterans Monument, it was announced that Rep. Espling had helped secure a $10,000 donation from Gov. Paul LePage’s contingency fund to support the building the Veterans Monument.
My grandfather Neal Peaco, a New Gloucester veteran who served during the Korean War, will be honored on the New Gloucester Veterans Monument, so I am personally grateful to both Rep. Espling and Gov. LePage.
I want to say “Thank you” to Ellie Espling, Gov. LePage and everyone who is donating the time and money necessary to make the New Gloucester Veterans Monument possible.
Of course, the most important “thank you” is owed to the 1,138 New Gloucester veterans that the monument seeks to honor. Thank you to all who have served.
