As an independent voter, I surely wish Eliot Cutler would wait until the next round to run for governor. He would be a shoo-in rather than the one to blame for letting Paul LePage’s 38 percent win again by splitting the vote between Cutler and Mike Michaud.
Although I feel Cutler is the best choice, I cannot responsibly vote for him this time and will be voting for Michaud to help get rid of LePage. Many people I have spoken with feel this way.
Cutler should consider whether he would rather be governor by waiting until the next round or have his legacy as the person who enabled an incompetent governor to be re-elected.
