KENNEBUNK — A pair of Kennebunk police officers who saved a man’s life during a traffic stop will be honored this week.

Officer Michael Harrington began performing CPR when an elderly motorist stopped breathing and slumped over during a traffic stop on July 26. A second officer, Michael Tucci, arrived with a defibrillator.

The Kennebunk Board of Selectman and the police department plan to honor the pair on Tuesday, if 86-year-old Gavin Falconer is released from a rehabilitation hospital as expected.

Falconer acknowledged he has a heavy foot when he’s driving, but he escaped with only a warning this time. Harrington said he was writing it up when Falconer went into cardiac arrest.
