AUGUSTA – First Lady Ann LePage held an ice cream social at the Blaine House for Maine’s military families.
More than 100 people were expected to attend Monday’s event on the lawn of the governor’s mansion.
LePage’s staff says that each child attending the “back to school” event would get free school supplies. The supplies were provided through Operation Homefront and sales at the Dollar Store.
LePage says the event is a chance for Maine’s military families to interact with one another and have some fun.
