LOVELL – Maine State Police and the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a 3-year-old Lovell girl.

A spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety says an autopsy on the girl’s body was performed Tuesday and more tests are scheduled for Wednesday.

The cause of death remains undetermined, but authorities say at this point it does not look suspicious.

Investigations are standard in the deaths of all children 5 and under in Maine.

The girl lived in Lovell with her mother and a 5-year-old sibling.
