One woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening following a crash in Fryeburg on Wednesday morning.

A 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Frances Nevers, 55, of Baldwin, was stopped to make a right turn at Ice House Road and Lovewell Pond Road at 8:40 a.m. when the car was hit by a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup.

The pickup, driven by Harvey Burnell, 79, of Fryeburg, was turning left onto Ice House Road, cut the corner too close and collided with the Malibu head-on, said a news release from acting Police Chief Joshua Potvin.

The passenger in the Malibu, Denise Burke, 56, of Fryeburg, was taken to Bridgton Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening. Nevers and Burnell were evaluated at the scene by rescue workers and did not require additional medical attention, Potvin said.
