Portland Superintendent Emmanuel Caulk participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at King Middle School in Portland on Tuesday.

Participating with Caulk was Kathleen Casasa, immediate past president of the Portland Education Association.

Caulk was nominated by Karen MacDonald, a teacher at King Middle School who was named 2014 Maine teacher of the year. Caulk nominated Portland Mayor Michael Brennan, Senate President Justin Alfond and Portland Chamber of Commerce CEO Chris Hall.
