A line of storms passed through most parts of the state Saturday evening, bringing heavy rains and high winds.

The National Weather Service received reports of downed trees and power lines in towns in western Maine, as well as Freeport, where one tree landed on a house on Circle Drive. No one was injured, a public safety dispatcher said.

About 1,000 customers, most in Cumberland and Franklin counties, were without power as of 8 p.m. Saturday, according to Central Maine Power Co.
