Waldo County Trails Hike, 10 a.m. in Unity
The Waldo County Trails Coalition will lead three foliage hikes this fall, rain or shine, on Saturdays starting Sept. 27. All hikes, including the ones on Oct. 11 and Oct. 18, will begin at Sebasticook Regional Land Trust at 93 Main St. in Unity. To learn more, call 877-5880.
Ovens Mouth Hike, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Boothbay
Join the Boothbay Region Land Trust for a hike at its Ovens Mouth East preserve. The celebration will include a cookout. A casual hike, games, food and live music by the Spaceheaters are all open to the public. Tickets are $15 for individuals, $25 for couples and $30 for families. Call 633-4818. The Cathance River Education Alliance and the Topsham Library are hosting their nature program at the Topsham Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Join the Cathance River Education Alliance executive director, Matt Dubel, as he discusses how nature is helping to solve human problems.
